2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing Checklist, Hobby Box Details and Key Inserts

2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing expands back to 200 cards and brings back one autograph plus two memorabilia cards per hobby box.

2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing Checklist, Hobby Box Details and Key Inserts

2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing brings a notable change that many collectors have been waiting for. Panini has moved the hobby box format back to a more traditional hit structure, giving collectors one autograph and two memorabilia cards per box instead of a combined total of three autos or relics. For a flagship NASCAR release, that adjustment alone makes this year feel more familiar.

The product also rebounds in another important area. After last year's reduced build, the base checklist expands back to 200 cards. That larger structure gives the set more room for current stars, legends, rookies, retro designs and car-focused cards, which should help both set builders and parallel chasers.

Collectors can still expect an Optic card and an insert or parallel in every pack, so even beyond the guaranteed hits, hobby boxes are designed to deliver steady variety throughout the break.

  • Release date: April 29, 2026
  • Hobby packs per box: 16
  • Cards per pack: 8
  • Boxes per case: 20
  • Set size: 200 cards

Hobby box averages:

  • 1 autograph
  • 2 memorabilia cards

  • 16 inserts or parallels total

Base set returns to 200 cards

The 2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing base set is split into four clear sections. The standard base run covers cards numbered 1 through 95, followed by five Rated Rookies. From there, the checklist branches into 50 Retro cards and 50 Rides cards.

  • Base: 95 cards
  • Rated Rookies: 5 cards
  • Retro: 50 cards
  • Rides: 50 cards

The standard base checklist mixes modern drivers, veterans, Hall of Fame names and crossover personalities. Among the notable names in the main run are Chase Elliott, Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski, Ty Gibbs, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Connor Zilisch, Richard Petty, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The Rated Rookies lineup includes John Paul Southern, Sally Mott, Landon Huffman, Connor Hall and Dawson Sutton. Those five names give rookie-focused collectors a small but clearly defined entry point in the base set.

The Retro segment leans on throwback design appeal while mixing eras. That portion includes names such as Ken Schrader, Jamie McMurray, Rusty Wallace, Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison, Darrell Waltrip, Ernie Irvan and Kurt Busch along with current stars like Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, Tyler Reddick and Chase Elliott.

Rides once again shifts attention to the cars themselves and the visual side of the sport. That section features drivers including Alex Bowman, William Byron, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Shane Van Gisbergen, Corey Heim, Carson Hocevar, Martin Truex Jr. and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Base parallels and the Numbers chase

Donruss remains one of the most parallel-heavy NASCAR products, and 2026 continues that pattern. The main base set parallels include Laser, Red and Blue, Red /299, Carolina Blue /249, Blue /199, Lime Green /199, Carolina Blue Laser /99, Purple /99, Artist Proof /25, Mojo /25, Gold /10, Artist Proof Black /1, Checkered Flag /1 and Printing Plates /1.

The race-inspired Checkered Flag 1/1 is one of the more recognizable case-hit style endgame parallels in the product, while the Printing Plates add four one-of-one versions for every card.

One of the more interesting Donruss-specific wrinkles is the Numbers parallel, where the print run ties directly to a driver's number or another assigned number for that subject. Some examples stand out immediately:

  • Chase Elliott /9
  • Brad Keselowski /6
  • Kyle Larson /5
  • Ross Chastain /1
  • Jesse Love /2
  • Richard Petty /43
  • Kyle Busch /8
  • Ryan Blaney /12
  • Joey Logano /22
  • Corey Heim /11
  • Austin Dillon /3

The same concept extends into Retro and Rides, giving the product a consistent serial-numbered chase across multiple sections of the base set. Panini also notes that Rated Rookie card No. 96 is not included in the Numbers parallel checklist.

Optic cards in every pack

For many hobby collectors, one of the most appealing parts of Donruss NASCAR is the built-in chromium element. The first 100 cards from the base set receive Optic versions, printed on chromium stock and inserted at one per pack in hobby boxes.

The 100-card Optic checklist covers the 95-card main base set plus all five Rated Rookies. That means collectors can chase chromium versions of stars, legends and newcomers without needing a separate standalone Optic release format inside the box.

Optic parallels include:

  • Black Pandora
  • Blue Velocity
  • Holo
  • Orange Velocity
  • Red Velocity /199
  • Carolina Blue Wave /99
  • Green Velocity /99
  • Purple Velocity /59
  • Black Velocity /39
  • Gold /10
  • Gold Velocity /10
  • Green Swirl FOTL /7
  • Black Finite /1
  • Gold Vinyl /1

That lineup gives Optic its own separate rainbow, with the Black Pandora, Black Velocity /39 and Gold Vinyl 1/1 standing out as major chase versions. For collectors who prefer chromium surfaces and lower-numbered color, this is a big part of the product's appeal.

Autographs bring back stronger hobby value

The autograph side of 2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing is broad, with multiple themes that cover current drivers, retired names, rising prospects and even important off-track figures.

Base Optic Signatures returns with 88 signers and parallels such as Blue Velocity, Orange Velocity, Pandora /25, Gold /10, Gold Velocity /10, Green Swirl FOTL /5, Black Finite /1 and Gold Vinyl /1. The autograph checklist includes names like Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Tyler Reddick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Kasey Kahne, Shane Van Gisbergen, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick, Joey Logano, Richard Petty, Matt Kenseth and Austin Dillon.

The Base Optic Rated Rookies Signatures checklist covers all five rookie names: John Paul Southern, Sally Mott, Landon Huffman, Connor Hall and Dawson Sutton.

Among the more collectible autograph concepts in the product:

  • Next Day Autographs: short-printed on-card signatures featuring names such as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tyler Reddick, Connor Zilisch, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, Richard Petty, Kyle Larson, Shane Van Gisbergen and Danica Patrick.
  • Get To Know: hard-signed cards with handwritten responses to biographical prompts. The lineup includes Dale Earnhardt Jr., Rajah Caruth, Connor Zilisch, Carson Hocevar, Noah Gragson, Ryan Blaney, Kevin Harvick, Toni Breidinger, Jimmie Johnson, Justin Allgaier, Austin Dillon and Jesse Love.
  • Signature Series: a 40-card set that extends beyond drivers to include names such as Alan Gustafson, Cliff Daniels and Chad Knaus.
  • Turn Of The Century Signatures: another 20-card autograph set with Jeff Burton, Harry Gant, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Cole Custer among the signers.
  • Dialed In Autographs: a 20-card insert auto set featuring Kyle Larson, Rusty Wallace, Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick, Noah Gragson, Toni Breidinger and Kasey Kahne.
  • NASCAR 75th Anniversary Signatures: a compact three-card set with Chase Elliott, Geoff Bodine and Ken Schrader, plus Holo /75 and Holo Platinum Blue 1/1 parallels.

The mix of sticker and on-card content will matter to different collectors, but Next Day Autographs and Get To Know are the easy headline pieces for those chasing premium signature content inside the release.

Memorabilia lineup uses race-used materials

Panini has not attached every memorabilia theme to a fully itemized material description, but the company has indicated that race-used tires, fire suits and sheet metal are part of the memorabilia program. That gives the relic side of the checklist more credibility than generic event-worn content alone.

The memorabilia sets include:

  • Burning Rubber Materials - 20 cards
  • Pedal To The Metal Materials - 30 cards
  • Souvenir Swatches - 20 cards
  • Suited Up Swatches - 30 cards

Burning Rubber Materials includes Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott, Chris Buescher, Brad Keselowski, William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., Sheldon Creed, Sam Mayer, Kyle Larson, Justin Allgaier, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Danica Patrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Parallels are Blue Ice, Orange Ice, Red /99, Blue /49, Gold /10 and Platinum /1, with some player-specific exceptions noted by Panini.

Pedal To The Metal Materials is the deepest relic checklist at 30 cards. Names include Carson Kvapil, Connor Zilisch, Justin Allgaier, Kyle Larson, AJ Allmendinger, Erik Jones, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, Toni Breidinger, William Sawalich, Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Layne Riggs, Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace, Corey Heim, Gio Ruggiero and Kurt Busch.

Souvenir Swatches focuses on bigger star power, featuring Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, Daniel Suarez, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, Shane Van Gisbergen, William Byron, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Connor Zilisch, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch.

Suited Up Swatches rounds out the relic program with a 30-card checklist that includes AJ Allmendinger, Austin Dillon, Carl Edwards, Toni Breidinger, Carson Kvapil, Joey Logano, Christian Eckes, Christopher Bell, Ty Gibbs, Taylor Gray, Sheldon Creed, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, Corey Heim, Daniel Dye and Daniel Hemric.

Downtown, Race Kings and other insert highlights

The insert lineup gives 2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing much of its personality. Some of the familiar brand staples are back, and there is also a new team-focused concept.

Downtown returns with a 10-card checklist and, for the first time in Donruss NASCAR, a Gold /10 parallel. That is one of the bigger insert developments in the set, since Downtown has become a hobby-wide brand that tends to draw strong attention. The checklist includes Jimmie Johnson, Connor Zilisch, Ryan Blaney, Corey Heim, Layne Riggs, Carson Hocevar, Chad Knaus, Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon.

Race Kings remains one of the most fitting Donruss inserts for NASCAR, borrowing the spirit of Diamond Kings and applying it to the racing side. The 20-card checklist includes Connor Zilisch, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Jimmie Johnson, Richard Petty, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Ross Chastain, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Shane Van Gisbergen and Tyler Reddick. Parallels run from Diamond Plate /199 all the way to Platinum Diamond 1/1.

Season Highlights is a 10-card insert with similar parallel treatment and includes Corey Heim, Connor Zilisch, Shane Van Gisbergen, NASCAR Cup Series, Christopher Bell, Josh Berry, Bubba Wallace, Ryan Blaney, Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin.

Slingshot is a smaller 10-card insert set built around names like Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Chase Elliott, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kyle Larson, Landon Huffman, Connor Hall, Denny Hamlin, Shane Van Gisbergen and Corey Heim.

Spellbound returns as a multi-card letter chase tied to selected drivers' last names. The featured names are Corey Heim, Ryan Blaney, Jimmie Johnson, William Byron, Carson Hocevar, Alex Bowman and Kyle Busch. Each player receives one card per letter in the surname, giving collectors a mini rainbow and letter-building challenge inside the insert lineup.

Team Logos is the new concept for 2026. Rather than centering on an individual driver, it highlights race organizations directly. The 10-card checklist includes Hendrick Motorsports, JR Motorsports, Team Penske, Kaulig Racing, Haas Factory Team, Roush Fenway Keselowski, Joe Gibbs Racing, Legacy Motor Club, Team Trackhouse and Richard Childress Racing.

Unleashed rounds out the major insert offerings with a 20-card checklist featuring Richard Petty, Ryan Blaney, Ross Chastain, Rusty Wallace, Noah Gragson, Layne Riggs, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., Ty Gibbs, Connor Zilisch, Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Chase Elliott, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Corey Day, Dale Jarrett and Denny Hamlin.

What stands out most in 2026 Donruss NASCAR Racing

The biggest takeaway is balance. This release gives collectors a larger base set, a cleaner hobby box hit structure, chromium Optic cards in every pack, recognizable case-level insert appeal through Downtown, and a strong spread of names that reaches from current Cup stars to all-time NASCAR legends and notable crew figures.

For set builders, the return to 200 cards is meaningful. For breakers and hit chasers, the restored autograph-per-box format is the headline. For parallel collectors, there are several deep rainbows to work through, from standard Donruss color to Optic Velocity versions and the driver-linked Numbers parallels. With release day set for April 29, 2026, this should be one of the central NASCAR hobby products of the spring calendar.
